PARTNER PROFILES
Mark graduated in Classics from Exeter University in 1991 and joined Arena Resources, where he spent five years as a recruiter and manager. Arena was acquired by Lorien plc in 1996, and Mark founded Sentinel one year later.
Despite tending to the needs of a steadily growing business, Mark still spends as much time on the sales floor as he can, facilitating client relationships and helping newer team members to develop.
Graduating in 1997 in French and European Studies, Charlotte entered the IT world as a trainer for Catalyst in the City. In 2000 she joined Sentinel as a Cognos Business Intelligence Recruiter. Over the last decade she has gained a deep understanding of business intelligence and positioned herself as a leading supplier of Cognos-skilled resource to the UK marketplace.
In her current role as Senior Partner, Charlotte is still a very successful hands-on business intelligence recruiter, staying in touch with emergent technologies in the BI space while building a team of tomorrow’s specialist technology recruiters.
Michael started his career in the property industry, eventually becoming Sales Manager for the award-winning chartered surveyors Reid+Dean. Looking for a new challenge in 2006, he joined Sentinel’s training programme, where he set new company records for first year revenue achievement and quickly established himself as a specialist Microsoft Recruiter.
Michael’s success in winning key accounts in publishing, business information, motor racing, logistics and retail contributed to his appointment as a Partner in September 2011.
Henry graduated in Financial Services from Sheffield Hallam University in 1998. Following a brief spell as a financial advisor for a Swiss life and pensions company, he joined us as a Trainee Recruiter in 1999. He was promoted to Sales Manager in 2002, then to Managing Partner in 2008.
Henry’s rise through the ranks has given him a profound understanding of our clients’ needs. His story reaffirms our commitment to growth and developing our team.
Stuart graduated from Southampton University in 1999 with a BSc (Hons) in Oceanography. On joining Sentinel, he decided to focus on business intelligence software, and has helped us establish new markets in Business Objects, SAP and Microsoft BI. After a decade immersed in BI and data warehousing, as both Consultant and Manager, he has a deep understanding of the industry’s people, products and trends.
Stuart made Partner in 2008 and then Senior Partner in 2011. As his business unit continues to grow, his team have broadened their focus to include a range of demanding new technologies.
Lee started his recruitment career in 1997 with MSB International. Initially working in their Accounts Department, he quickly realised his talents were better suited to a front-office role, and rapidly worked his way up to Senior Executive. After six years with MSB, he joined Networkers, where he spent seven successful years as their Key Vendor Account Manager for Europe and North Africa.
Lee joined us in 2012 as a Partner in our Telecoms Division, bringing with him deep and broad experience with global telecoms vendors.
Simon graduated in Economics from the University of Plymouth in 1994 and worked in construction and engineering before qualifying as an ACCA accountant. He joined Sentinel in 2005 as Head of Finance and Operations, where his experience and commitment to customer service underpinned the growth of our business and the development of strong stakeholder relationships.
Simon was appointed a Senior Partner in 2011, and currently manages day-to-day operations for finance, administration, legal, compliance and facilities management.
David started his career in advertising before joining the IT recruitment industry in 2004 with Vector Resources. He specialised in business applications, with a strong focus on ERP technologies including IFS, SAP and Oracle, and quickly established himself as the UK’s leading IFS recruiter.
David then moved to Park Recruitment to hone his management skills before joining us in 2009. He was appointed as a Partner in 2011, setting a new company record for qualification of just 21 months. His meticulous approach to recruitment best practice continues to drive his success and that of his team.
After studying law at Lancashire Law School, John pursued a career in criminal litigation for Laverys, a leading law firm in the North West, where he managed a team of lawyers and support staff. Seeking a new challenge in 2010, he joined Sentinel’s training programme and fifteen months after graduating was offered partnership.
John has been instrumental in building Sentinel’s international business forming partnerships with global retail and pharmaceutical companies, with a view to establishing our first overseas office.
His rapid promotion to partnership confirms Sentinel’s desire to attract diverse professional experience and its ability to identify and nurture talent from other industries.
